How to Apply

1. If you need a particular room type or location on campus due to a medical condition, disability or other circumstances, you must submit the Additional Requirements Evidence Form 2012-13 (MS Word , 23kb) as soon as possible.

  • You must also enclose supporting documentary evidence from an appropriate professional (e.g. GP or consultant)
  • The evidence supplied must confirm your need for a specific type of room or location
  • This is a separate process from any information you may have already given to other University Departments. If University Departments e.g. Disabilities Office, have already received medical evidence, please indicate this on your form
  • It is important that you provide the fullest possible details of your requirements so that we can meet your needs as closely as possible
  • This form should be submitted when you have a conditional course offer. Do not wait until you have received your exam results

2. If your evidence is appropriate and supports your request, you will be sent a reference number. You will need this when you apply online for your accommodation.

3. When you apply online, select the form named ‘Additional Requirements’ and enter the reference number in the appropriate box.  If you use this form without a reference number your application will be rejected.

  • You will not be allowed to choose a specific college, but you can express a preference in the free text box
  •  You will also be able to express a preference for the Type of Room and Let Duration that you require
