Community businesses and partnerships

Partnerships and business links

The University of York is home to a wide range of internationally recognised academics, with a strong history of research excellence. We received the Times Higher Education Award for University of the Year 2010, and during 2011/12, we were named the best young university in the UK, and the sixth best in the world. We also won our fifth Queen’s Award for Excellence in Higher Education, were invited to join the prestigious Russell Group of top UK universities and won a host of other national awards and prizes. We continue to make an impact in our immediate environs through a range of partnerships with local businesses and organisations.
