Sabeen joined the York Trials Unit as a Trial Coordinator in December 2020. She is currently in a final stage of PhD completion exploring the relationship between vitamin D, muscle strength and function in UK South Asian older women.
Sabeen is currently working on two trials: SWHSI-2 and VenUS 6.
1) SWHSI-2 is a pragmatic, multicentre, randomised controlled trial to assess the clinical and cost effectiveness of negative pressure wound therapy versus usual care for surgical wounds healing by secondary intention.
2) VenUS 6 is a randomised controlled trial of compression therapies for the treatment of venous leg ulcers.
Sabeen’s research interests include vitamin D, skeletal muscle health, diet, ageing and ethnic minorities.
