Helen Weatherly is a Professor at the Centre for Health Economics (CHE), University of York, UK. Having joined CHE in 1998, Helen has been interested in the use of economic evaluation to inform decision-making, with social care and service evaluation as the focus of her current research. Helen’s research interests have covered economic evaluation applied to health care technologies, including evidence reviews and economic evaluations for NICE, and economic evaluation in public health. Helen Co-Directed the University of York’s Distance Learning Programmes in Health Economics (2012 to 2020), leading the development of the MSc by distance learning. She continues to support online teaching, learning and capacity and capability building on CHE’s online short courses through the Health Determinants Research Collaboration North Yorkshire, as well as leading capability building in sub–Saharan Africa.
